Building on the legacy of the Mantra series, the fourth-generation Mantra 4 is a sleek, stylish folding knife with an exceptionally refined front-flipper opener. In the closed position, a tiny sliver of the blade's tang stands proud above the spine of the handle. A stroke of the index finger against its textured surface propels the blade swiftly and reliably into the open position. Crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, the full-flat-ground, satin-finished blade rides on low-friction ball bearing washers and also includes Spyderco's signature Trademark Round Hole for additional opening options. The knife's open-backed handle is built with two peel-ply-textured carbon fiber/G-10 laminate scales, one of which is machined to accept a nested stainless steel liner. The skeletonized liner forms the heart of the knife's sturdy Liner Lock mechanism and is thoughtfully textured for easy lock release.
